Exciting Leadership News from PPL

Dear PPL Friends,

On behalf of the PPL Board of Directors, I am pleased to announce that Paul Williams has been selected as PPL’s new executive director. Paul currently serves as the City of Saint Paul’s Deputy Mayor where he’s focused on several initiatives, including education, economic development, transit, and sustainability; he also oversees the day-to-day operations of the City. We had many outstanding executive director candidates with a variety of backgrounds and experiences, but after careful consideration and deliberation, the PPL Board of Directors chose Paul to become our organization’s fourth executive director in its 42-year history.

The Board is excited to partner with Paul to build on PPL’s innovative spirit, collaborative approach, and community empowerment sensibility to help low-income families and individuals thrive. PPL has an exceptional staff that provide a high level of service to the community, which calls for an exemplary leader. We believe that Paul will be a significant supporter of this work and create a vision that propels it to the next level to help more people become stable and self-sufficient. Paul’s first day as PPL Executive Director will be on April 21, 2014. I can safely say that Paul is just as excited as the Board to join PPL. With his exceptional experience, collaborative nature, and strong community development vision, PPL will continue to be the steadfast resource and innovator that you have come to expect.
